Our play mats are designed for children ages 3 and up. The foam is soft and durable for everyday play, but like most foam products, it can tear if excessive force is applied (11–14 pounds). If torn, small pieces could present a choking hazard.

Children under 3 years old are unlikely to apply this level of force during normal play, but because younger children are more likely to mouth objects, we recommend this product for ages 3+, with adult supervision.

Assembly is easy — it’s just like a puzzle. The tiles interlock securely and the included edge pieces snap in to create a clean, finished look. Lay the mat on a flat dry, clean floor (carpets too thick may prevent the tiles from fitting seamlessly).

Cleaning these mats is really straightforward. Wipe them with a damp cloth and a little mild soap and water. Keep a spray bottle for a quick disinfectant mist and have dry towels on hand to make sure the surface is completely dry.

Most spills and stains come up easily, and tougher things like crayons or markers usually lift with a bit more scrubbing. The mats are water-resistant, so you don’t need to worry about liquids soaking in—but after any big spill, it’s a good idea to lift the mats and check underneath.

You can also vacuum them with a non-abrasive vacuum to pick up crumbs and dust. One thing to note: most robot vacuums have trouble with the 1.2 cm tile height, so either give them a break or block their path and vacuum by hand.

Our boxes are beautiful, but they’re built for a tough job: protecting your soft mats. To save on waste, we ship in our sturdy retail boxes with just a protective sleeve—no extra 'box-inside-a-box.' Your package might get a few dinks or scuffs on its way to you, but it’s what’s inside that counts. As long as your mat is safe!

We love hand-delivering these around Baltimore! Local delivery is always our first choice and favorite method.
