It’s a great one- but don’t take our word for it, read our verified reviews. Matropolis™ is a hometown play mat, made from 24 interlocking foam tiles with 20+ Baltimore landmarks, built to be played on every day. It’s a limited run, which makes it a gift people remember.

24 square feet. That’s 24 interlocking tiles, each 12” × 12” and about half an inch (1.2 cm) thick, with border edges included. Want something smaller? You can easily build a smaller layout or stack the tiles into a cube.

Snap the tiles together like a puzzle, then add the border edges. A quick-reference image comes in the box. Lay it on a flat, dry, clean floor. Thick carpet can make the fit less seamless.

Yes. The tiles are water resistant and spill-proof. Simply wipe it up and keep playing!

Wipe with a damp cloth and mild soap (a spray disinfectant works too); dry with a towel. A non-abrasive vacuum is fine, but robot vacuums struggle with the tile height.

Not yet. Mats are sold as full sets for now, but individual tiles may come later.

The mat carries a 3+ age label. That label comes from physical hazard testing: the tiles could tear if pulled with enough force (somewhere around 11-14 pounds), and torn pieces could be a choking hazard for very young children. Adult supervision is always recommended.

Many families set the mat up for tummy time and floor play. Because the age label is 3+, always stay close and supervise babies and toddlers, and check the tiles regularly for wear.

Yes. All materials were tested by an independent lab, and the mat is BPA-free. The 3+ label reflects physical hazard testing, not a concern about the materials.

Local Baltimore delivery occurs within 24 hours. For other places in Maryland, we ship via UPS for two-day delivery. For all other states, you will receive a tracking email that confirms UPS delivery time. Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, and APO/FPO addresses may take longer.

You’ll receive a tracking email as soon as the carrier scans your package.

Our mats ship in retail boxes with a protective sleeve, so small scuffs can happen on the way. If the mat itself is damaged, email us and we’ll make it right.

Yes. If it’s unused and in its original packaging, you can return it within 30 days. Refunds are minus a $20 restocking fee, and return shipping is on you. Email us to start a return.
