Safety First: Going Beyond U.S. Standards
At Matropolis™, safety isn’t a feature—it’s a foundation. From the earliest sketches to the final product, every design decision starts with one question: is it safe enough for growing hands and feet? Children learn by touching, moving, and exploring with all their senses, so the surfaces they play on should be as pure and reliable as the care that surrounds them.
Matropolis™ play puzzle mats are independently tested to confirm they are free from harmful substances including lead, BPA, phthalates, and formaldehyde. We don’t just meet industry standards—we surpass them. Our mats exceed the U.S. ASTM F963 and CPSIA regulations.
We believe families deserve honesty and clarity. That’s why we share our certified lab results openly, so you can see exactly what your child is playing on—odor-free, non-toxic, and crafted for safe, everyday use.
What Makes Matropolis™ Different

Choosing Matropolis™ means more than selecting a play mat—it’s choosing peace of mind. A safe, soft, and thoughtfully made foundation for play, movement, and imagination to grow.
Safety Notice
This product is made from durable foam and has been stress-tested to withstand approximately 11–14 pounds of pulling force before tearing.
If the foam were torn apart, small pieces could present a choking hazard.
For context, 11–14 pounds of force is similar to the effort required to firmly pull open a tight jar lid or stretch a strong resistance band. Children under 3 years old are unlikely to generate this level of force during normal play, but adult supervision is always recommended.
